 The iPad Air is gone. The pre-order will start today, Friday 11th March and the tablet will be on sale from March 18th  The tablet looks a lot like the iPad Pro.

M1 Performance

 The new iPad Air model now has the latest M1 processor used in the iPad Pro.  According to Apple, the M1 processor has an 8-core CPU that is up to 60 percent faster than the previous generation.  And it has an 8-core GPU with twice the graphics capabilities of its predecessor.  Which is a very cool update.  Apple is now offering advanced processors in all their devices.

 The tablet supports 5G with M1 processor and USB-C port connected.  Prices for the Wi-Fi model start at $ 599, and for the Wi-Fi and cellular models start at $ 749.  It has storage of 64GB or 256GB and like last time many colors are available.  The colors are blue, gray, pink, purple, and another mix of silver and gold is what Apple calls "starlight."

 The front-facing camera uses a 12-megapixel sensor and now supports Apple's Center Stage feature, which is designed to automatically frame you when you make a call.  The resolution of the rear camera is 12 megapixels.  The new iPad Air's 10.9-inch screen has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and HDR support.  The iPad Air has landscape stereo speakers.
